The Vibrant City OF Cairo

With its long vibrant history and many streets, it would take weeks to months for a tourist to be able to pass by all of the city’s landmarks and hotspots. The city has minarets, mosques, museums, Coptic churches and many other places. Some streets are simply special by their own like those at Old Cairo and Islamic Cairo. These streets are brought to life by the ancient homes and buildings that line along them.

  • The Grand Places Of Cairo

In downtown Cairo is the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. Up north is a medieval influenced place called Bulaq.  Mosques of great designs ooze with appeal. Its grand look is complemented by the modern looking World Trade Center. Garden City is down south. It is a place lined with trees that was used as an enclave by the British Forces in the past wars.

If one is looking forward to see Islamic structures in Cairo, then Islamic Cairo is where they are. The Bab Zuwayla towers, the Islamic Art Museum and the Citadel are among the many structures that represent the predominantly Islamic Egypt. 18 kilometers from the center of Cairo, is Giza. Giza is known for the famous Pyramids. The Nile also has two islands worth visiting, Roda and Gezira. Gezira is the biggest among the two and has luxurious villas, opera houses and upbeat bars.
